Hello! I'm Tina

I am a data analyst with 3 years of marketing trend analysis experience and critical thinking, using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint in various business projects. I am proficient in Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI, with experience in data analysis, sales forecasting, database management, and machine learning. Besides, I am a detail-oriented person proficient in organization, arranging priorities, and managing time.

 

My passion for data from my experience in marketing further enhanced my determination to pursue a higher degree in Business Analytics, as I witnessed first-hand the impact of scientific analysis on the business industry. For this reason, I returned to school a year after I received my bachelor's degree at UCI to study business analysis at Paul Merage School.

This month, I earned my Master's degree in Business Analytics at the University of California, Irvine. Currently, I am a volunteer consultant for a non-profit organization and am driving impact, both for the organization and those it helps. 

 

Now, I am on the way to achieve my career goals, looking for Data Analyst, Marketing Data Analyst, Business Analyst opportunities, and any job related to dealing with data.

  • Built time series model, logistic regression, and decision tree using R to predict new-vehicle retail sales in 2021 across multiple regions and vehicle segments with the best accuracy. Identified driving factors for sales and gained insight on segment behavior.

  • Preprocessed data from latitudinal to longitudinal format. Visualized data with Tableau to identify trends including the increase in SUV and pickups in the past ten years, and hybrid and electric vehicles being the only increases in sales during the pandemic.

  • Developed the recommendations for model adjustments to address alternative improvements and unexpected circumstances such as COVID-19, production disruptions (tsunamis), and a financial crisis.

SEED CONSULTING GROUP
  • Consulted for WildTrack, a non-profit organization developing non-invasive wildlife monitoring solutions using foot tracing images with AI technology to protect wild animals.

  • Created a framework to recommend new funding strategies related to collaborations with academic institutions, government agencies, and eco-tourism to generate long-term stable funding sources.

  • Developed visualizations, content, and well-structured UI/UX on WildTrack’s dataset website that contains species tracks and summaries. Explored data approaches for building a new app to upload pictures of animal tracks.

  • Assisted marketing managers with biweekly meeting reports, strategized three marketing events, collected / analyzed customer feedback, and proposed improvement plans, increasing the average customer satisfaction to 90%.

  • Analyzed marketing data including product rating, price, cost through tableau and excel.

  • Organized promotional events to increase order volume and updated official social media account 5x / week to increase exposure.

YU CHIEH AUTOMATION CO., LTD.
  • Analyzed customer purchase behavior data and collaborated with accounting department to optimized product mix and pricing by analyzing ideal product order quantities for minimal cost, increasing profit, and boosting sales numbers.
